A New Year Special, January 2000

Poetry, Fictions, Essays, Art and so on and so forth, the usual mix of eclectica.

Introduction from this issue:
This special limited issue of Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet is solely filled with haiku, limericks, double-dactyls and an essay presented on the evening of December 31, 1999.
Most of the following were read aloud by the writer; some of you may even remember hearing them, or reading one or two aloud. Those that don't have probably forgotten the poker game held directly after the poetry wheren Jack, Kelly and I won all your money. We are still waiting for you to pay up on the IOU's.
I hope you enjoyed the party as much as I did. The food was great (thank you!), the champagne overflowed, the dancing was delightful and company, well, fabulous. The capper was the poetry. I knew it was a literate crowd but this took the biscuit (and the grits). Thank you for coming and for writing so many good poems. Enjoy.

Submissions of material and/or cash, chocolate, pizza (I suggest Bluestone Bistro* here in Brighton, books, music, zines etc.) can be made to the above address, with an SAE if you want a reply. Remembering, of course, this isn't known an an Occasional Outburst for nothing. Su-ure, we're sticking to the May/November schedule (shed-ul).

Produced on a Mac with blood (ooh, that stains), sweat (well, that will come out in the wash. As will the tears), not a lot of help from bloody Adobe and good amount of Trader Joe's Bittersweet Chocolate by Gavin J. Grant.

*Wouldn't do us much good now, of course, as moved the LCRW empire out of Boston. Email us and ask exactly how to bribe us. We will be most forthcoming. Nobel prizes are especially welcome.
