SUPER
BUTTER DOG
--
Who?
-- Check the title of the page.
-- Ah!
Here are tiny pages for each of their four
albums -- plus at least one indie release their label (Parlophone)
doesn't seem to acknowledge:
Inuni Kuwae-Sasero -- hmm.
Where's the cd gone?

Hello! Feed*Back
Funkasy
Some links and stuff
about the band:
-
SBD's own website
(Japanese) You can listen to some of their tracks here. I've also
seen them on N*pster. No, it wasn't me. How superb is that? Some
guy in Japan is downloading Marvin Gaye and the Stax Records back
catalog and he's giving people a chance to hear SBD. Mmm.
Their website has been updated recently,
GO! New single, that I don't have...
-
Prizes for anyone who
sends us stuff -- like the tea, for example... -- for sale at
the band's shop
-
While not into SBD as
far as I can see, for a roundup of J-pop from the last five years
or so you could do a lot worse than getting the last couple of
issues of Cha Cha Charming.
Also covers French chanteuses, girl groups, 60s women singers,
and metal along the lines of Drain Sth and Megadeath. Nice mix.
-
Feature
from one of the main English-language papers in Japan.
-
You have to page past
the Mad 3 article to get to the live review. (disappeared)

... On
the contrary, Super Butter Dog played music that made us feel
at home... continues
-- has a link
to a very early recording, "Disco Drummer"

I think we can all understand
what this chap
is trying to say:
Ich habe eine Einladung zur Party eines Billboard Magazins
im Untergrund-Club Milk:
Geiler Schuppen, eine japanische MŠdchenband spielt Hardcore
Metal: Sie nennen sich "Super junky monkey". Mir gefŠllt der Name,
genauso wie "Super butter dog" und mein Favorit: "Punch the monkey".
Japanische Bands haben die bizarrsten, aber coolsten Namen der
Welt.

Where to buy? You can
buy it at the chain stores, cdthen etc, but you might as well
pay the same price (or less) and order from someone who knows
what they're talking about like DeoDeo.com (Japanese
or English pages)
or http://www.farside-respect.com
(haven't tried this one yet though).
